Rule: A preposition is followed by a "noun".
- We use at for a PRECISE TIME

There is a meeting at 2.30 this afternoon / at lunch time.
in for MONTHS, YEARS, CENTURIES and LONG PERIODS
Examples:
I visited Italy in July, in spring, in1994

DAYS and DATES
Examples:
Many shops do not open on Sundays.
Prepositions of Place: at, in, on
In general, we use:
- at for a POINT
- in for an ENCLOSED SPACE
- on for a SURFACE
