Unit 02: Writing - Narrative paragraph

  

Ali and Hassan lived in a small house in Agdz. Their mother was very sick and was always in her bed. On a Sunday afternoon in the summer of 2011, Ali came home with a black cat in his school bag. Hassan was happy to see the cat. They showed the cat to their mother and she loved it. The mother stayed up all night playing with the cat in her room. In the following morning, they couldn’t find the cat anywhere; It just disappeared and they quickly forgot about it. After that, their mother’s health started getting better and better. She no longer stayed in bed. Her sickness was leaving her day by day. She could go out with her children again and enjoy the refreshing air outside. They were all very happy and felt like they were in a dream. Two months after that, on a Sunday morning, the boys woke up and found their mother dead in her bed. They were shocked and sad and they did not understand why she was dead. After all, her sickness was gone and she had excellent health. While they were crying by her bed, they heard some noise coming from under the bed sheets. Hassan pulled the sheets from his mother and was in horror at what he saw. Ali screamed at the top of his lungs and fell on the ground unconscious. Hassan stood in his place frozen, and stared at the horror in front of him. There was a big hole in his mother’s belly and it was full of small kittens; a dozen of them, trying to get out. There was blood everywhere.
